Multi-display rigs sometimes lose a screen after boot — a tired graphics card, a loose cable, a forgotten power lead. Some software (MSFS multi-projector, Pop Out Panel Manager and similar) breaks if a screen is missing or has moved.
What it detects
- A missing or added monitor
- A monitor whose position (X, Y) has changed
- A changed resolution
- Which screen Windows marks as primary
If something is wrong it can block the Soft Launcher start sequence, so the sim never starts in a bad state. It does not move the screens back — you correct the layout yourself.
